I'm having a bit of a headache replacing the driver-side axle on my 2001 Swift. The new axle I got from Autozone looks like a perfect match, but it's just not seating all the way into the hub. I've tried everything I can think of, even some gentle tapping, but it’s still stuck.

Anyone got any tips to help me get this thing fully in place?

That sounds tricky. I’m still learning about axles myself, but could it be something simple like excess dirt or rust in the hub preventing it from fully seating? Maybe a bit of grease around the splines could help?

Check the ring at the shaft's end to ensure proper fit. Some cheap aftermarket rings can be tight and difficult to install.
