Hi, having another quirky moment with my 2013 Swift 1.3 DDIS. Yesterday, I pulled up to a junction, and it decided to take a little nap instead of revving, just ticked over. After about 30 seconds, it woke up and revved fine. Anyone got a clue what's going on? No warning lights, so it’s just being moody! Thanks in advance

Could be a dirty MAF sensor, a clogged EGR valve, or even some carbon buildup in the throttle body messing with the idle. Fuel system issues or worn spark plugs might also be the culprits. I would try to clean the MAF first. If it doesn't work, then have a mechanic check it.

yea it could be a temporary sensor or fuel delivery issue, a diagnostic scan might help rule out any underlying problems, even without warning lights.

No warning lights makes it tricky. Check your air and fuel filters first. It could also be a bad MAF or crank sensor. If you have a scanner even a cheap one plug it in it might show hidden codes. Diesels can have issues from fuel pressure to EGR valves so you'll have to check things one by one.
