Since I got my 2021 Suzuki Swift 1.2 Hybrid, I've noticed a strange noise when the engine is revving between 750 and 1000 rpm. It’s a consistent sound that’s quite noticeable, and it’s been there from the start. I’m not sure if it’s something with the engine or just a quirk of the hybrid system. could this be a sign of an issue that needs attention?

Hey, that noise sounds serious. It might be covered under warranty. Have you talked to your Suzuki dealer about it yet?

I did reach out to my Suzuki dealer about it, and they said it’s likely normal for the hybrid system, but I’m still keeping an ear on it just in case.

First thing I’d do is check if the noise changes with the A/C on or off sometimes the compressor can add a bit of sound at low RPMs. Hybrids use regenerative braking so if the noise happens when decelerating it might just be the regen system engaging. If it’s not affecting performance it might just be a characteristic of the Swift Hybrid but if it gets louder over time I’d get it checked.
