Squealing Noise When AC Engages

Hi everyone, I’ve been dealing with a persistent squealing noise under the hood for the past few weeks, and I’m trying to narrow down the source. Here’s what I’ve noticed so far:
  • The belt was replaced about four months ago, so I initially ruled that out.
  • Sprayed some WD-40 on the pulleys, but the squeal didn’t go away.
  • Thought it might be the alternator pulley at first, but a friend suggested I try switching on the A/C to see if there’s any change.
Sure enough, when the A/C clutch engages, the squealing gets worse, particularly until the engine reaches its normal operating temperature. Another thing I’ve observed is that the headlights dim slightly when the squeal happens, which makes me wonder if the A/C compressor pulley could be causing both issues.

Has anyone encountered something similar? Could it really be the A/C compressor pulley, or should I also be looking at other potential culprits?
